Your CURRICULUM VITAE “course of life”
If by chance you stumble on what you are holding then it means you are interested in having the best in life. Life herself, among other things conform to certain rules, which when played by she must deliver to you the desired output. Remember this; if the required input is put into the right and functioning system the system must give you the output which the system has been designed for.
REQUIRED INPUT-----------RIGHT AND FUNCTIONING SYSTEM-------------------DESIRED OUTPUT
In this paper you are holding, you are about to understand what is required of you so that you can secure your dream job. I assume you know what your desired output should be, just in case
YOUR DREAM JOB=DESIRED OUTPUT.
Man is limited in that he cannot be everywhere at the same time, so he needs an instrument to represent himself or herself anywhere. This representation is known as “CURRICULUM VITAE”, which means "course of life".
Your course of life in this regard is a written document describing your pattern of work, achievements, responsibilities, and many more. In one sentence your course of life is YOU
Food for thought “What would you like to be read as”?
An attempt to answer to this question would require proper planning of your life and this presents you better drives to achieving a brighter future. A well written course of life is as important as the life because whatever you write describes you and in fact it is you.
So from the fore going your CURRICULUM VITAE (CV) =COURSE OF LIFE=YOU
There are flexible rules that must be adhered to when writing this document. Some organisations and countries require formats for presenting your CVs, but there are general formats that must be known, selling points and writing skills that all high flying organisations look out for.
CVs are usually divided into sections such as PERSONAL DATA, EDUCATION, WORK HISTORY, TRAINING AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, PROJECTS, HOBBIES, and many more.
Always begin your CV with your personal data, then your education, and so on.
The maximum time any official can spend to read your course of life is 1 minute, so it must be concise.
Do not write stories, just state actions in a single line and write a single sentence each for each action.
While writing focus on your strengths (selling points), because your CV helps you get into the organization at the point of entry.
Sell yourself by writing like your life depends on the one minute the official will spend reading it.
Two examples are presented below. Please note the comments in red.
The first example is rigid and boring but the second example is more flexible and interesting (selling point).

Structuring-the ART and the ACT
Structuring is the present participle of the word “structure”. The word structure is a noun which means a system or organisation made up of interrelated parts functioning as a whole.
The way parts link or function in a system or organisation is very important. As a rule I’d submit that “as the backbone is to the body, so is the way parts link or function is to a system or organisation”, in other words structuring is the source of strength of any system or organisation.
Take for example the human digestive system of “PAUL”. Paul’s digestive system functions in this order for normal body functioning.
1. Receive food through an opening (the mouth);
2. Pass the food through a pipe to the stomach (oesophagus);
3. Internal digestion of the food in the stomach;
4. Take in the required and passes it to the blood stream;
5. And finally send excess and unwanted portion of the food through the anus via the large intestine.
Any alter to this link or function will............ only “PAUL” can explain this discomfort............. if “PAUL” is still alive.
The ART
Following the above, the art of structuring is thus a system or organisation made up of interrelated parts functioning as a whole.
The art is the fundamental stage for structuring of any system or organisation. Another rule to consider is that “if the art is not conceived the act would merely be building skyscrapers on sandy foundations”
What does the ART of structuring entail? It entails the creation of beautiful and thought provoking works, thoughts provoking works through creative activity, thoughts provoking works through visual representations.
The ability of the mind to conceive the art is the bane of structuring, these processes takes time and energy, but once it has been conceived then you are on your way to the act.
Thinking is the bedrock of successful structuring. Please note that there are no perfect structures but there are perfect imaginations, which mean that our structures can have 99% success rate and may be 100%.
Humans are not as capable as they think they are but they have a mind whose imaginative ability is beyond their physical ability; hence if your imagination is stretched your physical ability will also be stretched.
Food for thought: whatever fills your mind dictates your thoughts,
Whatever fills your mind dictates your thoughts provoking works
So may I ask you this, “what fills your mind?”
Some points are worthy of mention when considering the art and these point will guide and aid the thought provoking process.
1. The type of system or organisation- Is it a public corporation? A private corporation? A non-profit organisation? etc
2. The environment the system or organisation operates in - is it in the Rural region? Urban region? Urban-rural region, internal and external environment.
3. The nature and the system of operation of the system or organisation.
4. The aim and objectives of the system or organisation.

4. The aim and objectives of the system or organisation.
The points mentioned above will guide you through the process of building a brilliant structure in form of a picture but this picture is just a step from the actual physical backbone of any system or organisation, a typical example will be shown in the next post to illustrate the above points
The ACT
The concept of action, carrying out the art of structuring or putting to play the art of structuring is known as the act of structuring. The act of structuring is critical to any system or organisation.
The concept of action, carrying out the art of structuring or putting to play the art of structuring is known as the act of structuring. The act of structuring is critical to any system or organisation.
The workings and the future of any system or organisation is solely dependent on the backbone of the system or organisation.
The primary goal and objective of any system or organisation is to achieve the system’s goal and objective and only well laid down structures will be able to achieve these goals and objectives.
The act of structuring is the bringing together of various mechanisms such as skills, materials, resources, etc in such a way that a particular order or system is followed to achieve some goals and objectives.
It might interest you to know that the success of the act of structuring is that successful structures are self-sustaining, independent and reliable.
For every system to practically implement the art of structuring the following points must be noted:
1. The function, aim and objective of the system or organisation must be justified for every structure implemented
2. In every physical system there are variables and constants
3. Flexibility is a rule in structuring, you must be flexible with the variables so that your constants can be compensated for

Another rule is this “happy are the flexible for they shall not be bent beyond normal when the abnormal arises”
From the foregoing, you are on your way to producing brilliant structures that would relieve you and make your organisation always meet any goal and objective it sets, but remember,
· Rule 1. As the backbone is to the body, so is the way parts link or function is to a system or organisation
· Rule 2. If the art is not conceived the act would merely be building skyscrapers on sandy foundation
· Rule 3. Happy are the flexible for they shall not be bent beyond normal when the abnormal arises

Watch out for the next post as various examples of structures of different organisations would apply the above.
